Sherbourne School

The Sherborne School Courts Historic Vehicle Rally is probably the most prestigious classic car event in the South West of England. It is an annual charity Classic car day organised by the Rotary Club of Sherborne Castles which commences with a road run through some beautiful Dorset countryside followed by a display in the rather grand court at Sherborne School.

A most enjoyable day was had this weekend at the home of South West committee member, Peter Robson, at his farm which is located in a most beautiful spot on the outskirts of Kingsbridge, Devon.

The South East section decided to celebrate the Coronation of King Charles III after the regular Denbies Wine Estate meeting on 14th May. And an excellent turnout there was as well.

The South West Section decided to hold a Drive it Day on Exmoor in Devon in addition to our usual day in Cornwall.

The South West Section had a VIP visit to The Fleet Air Arm Museum, Yeolviton on Thursday 23rd March. The visit was organised by committee member Steve White, ably assisted by his wife Bridget and son Andrew, a servicing officer in the Fleet Air Arm, and stationed at the Royal Navy base at Yeovilton.

EA Season Opener

The season opener for East Anglia was a tremendous success thanks to the organising skills of our committee member Brian Aket. Brian's initial concern in organising a January meeting and the probability of poor weather was fortunately unfounded. We even had four Alvis cars in the car park. More would have been there but for a few non starters following the winter recess.
