On Saturday 3rd December thirty SW Section members and friends sat down to a first class Christmas Buffet lunch at the historic Crown Inn at Lanlivery near Lostwithiel in Cornwall.

This is East Anglia’s last event of 2022 combined with our first Christmas lunch. Eight Alvis cars, three pre-war and five post war, were spread around the car park but we did mange to get four cars parked together as our photo shows. The centre of attention was David Halsall’s new acquisition, a beautiful green four door Cross and Ellis Firebird tourer,

The Classic Motor Show running 11-13th November commenced on Friday under the theme of "Part of the Family".

The last few days have seen the AOC Alvis stand being built. And what a stunning stand it is. Thanks to all our stalwart members who have been managing and building this excellent stand.

12th Ocotober was the annual Remembering Maurice Harvey event at St. Keverne on the Lizard.

Twenty seven keen South West members give up their Saturday morning this week to make a return visit to Rob Stoneman’s fantastic classic car workshop in Kentisbeare near Cullompton, Devon which specialises in the restoration of pre-war Alvis cars.

A few South West members decided to Join Jim Oakman and Members from The Midland & South East Section at the Kop Hill Climb at the weekend - what a grand couple of days we had, constant sunshine and hundreds of beautiful old motor cars.

The south east section held their SEAD at Michelham Priory, near Hailsham, West Sussex on Saturday10th September. It was decided after the very sad news of the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on the Friday, to continue with the event. Especially as the Duke of Edinburgh had an Alvis. The weather held and the turn out of Southern members from East and West was excellent.

A wonderful west country classic car outing took place yesterday based around Sherborne School.
