TD21 Series II    Ref:  2252    Date:  1/8/2026

This particular car, 8192 RW, was the subject of a road test by Autocar magazine in August 1962. It appears that Alvis lent the car to Autocar for a few months, quite why is not known. Liberated from long term storage 8 years ago the car has now been mechanically fully recommissioned. Parts included a re-cored radiator, new brake callipers, fuel pump (electric), stainless steel fuel tank, core plugs, front shock absorbers and suspension bushes. Many hours have been spent fettling and fixing including a new head gasket. The car is running beautifully and reliably. Has just done a 70 mile round trip on the EA section day. Everything works except the interior lights. The front seats both need repairs and the paintwork is not great – some micro blistering and some rust blisters. MoT until June 2027. I’m happy to drive it as is, but obviously there’s scope for improvement. Realistically priced in today’s market. £12,500.
