About to have a couple of modified head gaskets made for a TD 21 to direct more water to the rear of the cylinder head(for hotter driving days) By restricting water flow travelling across the block and by passing the rear cylinders. Water Inlet side of cylinder head has curved slots which transfer too much water thru block to exhaust side triangular ports then thru thermostat to radiator inlet. Question is how much to restrict the curved ports ? understand a little restriction can have a large effect. Story of Red triangle 3rd Edition P 418 comments the cylinder heads were modified for the last 3L TF21s Any one had this modification done your comments would be most appreciated.
