Bonnet rod and spring and hooks ???

Hi Richard I have never seen that before! It looks home made to me (part of it looks like the large safety pins from Terry cotton nappies) it could be from Alvis of course. As to its purpose, I am completely guessing, but it might stop the radiator rattling if it effectively pulls the radiator towards the bulkhead (or maybe even makes the bonnet side panels easier to remove and fit by pulling the radiator backwards).
