Could someone advise me whether the original nuts on the exhaust manifold were either steel or brass? Posted by RichardWallach 08/09/2012 10:38:32

The original nuts were of brass. Steel nuts will rust and the corrosion products will lock the nuts to the studs, then you will have a problem if you want to remove the manifold. Posted by Ernest Taylor 10/09/2012 16:51:41

Chris and Peter,  Thanks for the reply. Lastly what was used on the TA21 exhaust manifold to exhaust pipe studs, steel or brass nuts?  Richard Posted by RichardWallach 12/09/2012 08:44:09

Chris, Am I right in thinking that the 3/8 is the manifold to exhaust pipe stud and if so can you please advise your part number.  Richard Posted by RichardWallach 12/09/2012 09:38:52
