By-pass oil filter

I would be interested if it is possible to fit a by-pass oil filter to a TA21 motor. I can appreciate the pick up may come via the gauge connection however it is the return that is the issue.  Richard Wallach 11375au Posted by RichardWallach 22/05/2012 04:45:24

One way is to drill the camshaft cover at the front of the motor, weld in a nipple and return the oil through the front cam bearing. Posted by Nickalvis 14/07/2012 16:33:54

Nick,  I have now managed to collect all the parts, including the restrictor fitting. Noting your reply is it possible to return the oil by attaching a fitting to one of the two camshaft side cover plates as the one nearest the bulkhead would be the closest to the filter?
