I would appreciate if any members can list the Borg & Beck part number for the clutch plate. Likewise the same information would be appreciated for other clutch plate makers too.   Thank you - Richard Wallach 11375 au Posted by RichardWallach 21/05/2012 09:19:57

Hi Richard,  I believe this is the same part as used by several other British cars of the time, including the e-type, so alterntives should be easy to find. Check carefully before parting with your cash though.  Regards Rob Posted by Sprint1050 23/05/2012 19:58:08

Thanks for the replies. An external source provided the following information that may benefit members. The part number is 47627/58 for a standard plate and 47627/59 for a deluxe plate - the difference is not explained. The plate is 10" with 1 1/4" internal diameter. This plate will also fit some Morris Commercial trucks as well as some Wolsley, Armstrong Siddeley, Riley, Austin and would you believe Maserati models.  Hoping this helps.     Richard Posted by RichardWallach 26/05/2012 13:50:01

Interesting to see you mention the commercial trucks Richard. I found a clutch plate for my TA-14 in a motor factors in Dundee. They couldn't find it in their normal books, but it was in a tractor parts book, and they had 2 on the shelves since the 1980s. I happily took both for about £25!
