Well after starting the bulkhead and buying some aluminium for the bonnet, wouldn't you know one turned up on ebay! It had been on some while at a ridiculous price but then it was reduced and had a buy it now price. Of course it was as far away as possible in Southampton but number one son came good and collected it for me. Getting louvres cut is an expensive business and they are usually quite small so this was a good find. The cellulose stripped easily but the etch primer despite being sprayed 80 odd years ago was well bonded... smelly proper Nitromors did the job though. It will need narrowing slightly and trimming to length but I have access to a 4 foot folder! It is looking more like a car..... well I can dream! Posted by FLYJCW 16/04/2018 17:14:04
