Can someone provide me with the appropriate description of the type of windscreen wipers that I should fit (trying to maintain originality whenever I have the choice) to my 1939 Charlesworth SP25? Eg rubber retaining peg, hook type or bayonet as per: http://www.vintagemotorspares.com/phdi/ ... ent&part=8 many thanks Dave Posted by DaveT 23/05/2012 11:41:10

Hi Dave Originally your Sp 25 would have Arm 440 with blade 443 or 444 depending on length required and the blade retained by rubber peg 446. You can, with advantage, fit a postwar version of arm 440 which has a crank to left or right. These leave the wiper blades parked parallel on the bottom of the screen without the necessity of traversing the screen rubber seals which are sometimes difficult to ride over. Nick Simpson.
