Rare opportunity to purchase a running Speed 25 engine. This engine was originally fitted to my Speed 25 Special (SN 9433) in 2007 and is now surplus to requirements having been replaced by a 4.3 unit. Totally rebuilt in 2007 and used for touring etc (no racing or hill-climbing). 84mm Mahle pistons, fast road/Rod Jolley camshaft, lightened & balanced flywheel, rear water transfer port spacer, aluminium cylinder head (fitted 2010) with original cluster valve spring set-up and converted to full flow oil filtration (fittings & head unit included).
The engine runs well with very good oil pressure and does not overheat. Mileage since rebuild approximately 10 to 12.5 thousand miles. Oil sump recently removed to clean and visually check crank etc. Includes starter motor and inlet & exhaust manifolds. Other ancillaries available if required. £26,000.
