The rubber drain pipe running through the A pillar is blocked. Having failed to clear the blockage, I am attempting to remove it. I attached the new pipe to the old at the top and started to gently pull through the old rubber initially taking the new with it. Then the bottom 6 or 7” broke free.
I then tried attaching a long pei e of string to the bottom of the tube and pull back up. Because the rubber is so perished, that too failed.
Is there a special flexible corkscrew tool on the market with which I can remove the old rubber? Other ideas welcome please.
I was hoping to make next weekend’s SWAD trip to Haynes in the Grey Lady, but it’s beginning to look like I will take the Stag instead. And that would be a shame.
