Has anyone had their TD/E/F radiator upgraded with an aluminium or brass/copper core? If so, would you recommend it?

Thoughts on radiators. The most important thing with TD,TE and TF as with TC21 is that the starting handle hole is properly "wet boxed". A manifold built around the hole to conduct water from the tubes above the starting handle hole to the tubes below. Some radiator rebuilders just blank off the tubes down the middle of the radiator.
With regard to aluminium radiators, I was speaking to our local radiator repairer who said that he fits a lot of aluminium radiators to rally cars, mainly because they are lighter. If they get damaged by a stone they are pretty much impossible to repair and generally need to be replaced.
