Horn Relay

If your horn works intermittently or sounds feeble, it could be a faulty relay. After investigation, I discovered that while the relay on my TE21 clicked nicely and had full battery voltage going in, only 8v was visible outbound. All was well after changing the relay. A further quirk of the horn relay saga. The replacement (previously used) relay worked fine until last week when only the high note horn would sound. Feeding current directly from the battery would make both horns sound. With a new relay, everything is back to normal. Posted by vaningen 04/06/2017 21:49:56
