Duke of Windsor TE21

I was amazed to read in the excellent 2013 International Alvis Weekend programme that the Duke of Windsor owned TE21 27259. I have never seen this mentioned before; does anyone have any more information about the car and what happened to it? Posted by vaningen 03/07/2013 09:13:20

Further to my own original posting, I was baffled to read in Culshaw Corner in the November/December Bulletin that the Duke of Windsor "became the owner of TF21 saloon 27259, FJF887D...". Yet in David Culshaw's book on the Three Litre, 27259 is listed as a TE21 a few chassis ahead of my own 27288 first registered on 25 June 1965. There's more going on here than meets the eye!
