Change of Statutory year-end and impact on the Annual General Meeting (AGM) Dear Members, For your Information As reported in Bulletin No. 553 - AGM 29 March 2015 – Summary Report At our last AGM it was announced to the Members present that the Directors had agreed to change the Statutory or Accounting year-end from 31st October to the 31st March as from 31st March 2016. This will finally bring the accounting year in to line with the members’ subscription year. However, under 12.2 of the Articles of Association of the Club, not more than 14 months can elapse between AGMs; therefore in 2016 there will need to be two AGMs (probably March/April as usual and then in September/October). Each Section will also be required to comply and draw up their next set of Accounts to 31 October 2015 (as usual) and then to 31 March 2016 (and annually thereafter).
