Speed model brake system parts

I am trying to convert my Speed 25 back to it's original cable brake system, I therefore need most of the original parts which have been removed. I particularly need the bell cranks (swivels) and their supporting plates, the floating cams inside the drums, any brake cable fittings ie. brackets and adjusters and some backplates. The parts were also used on the Sp20 SC/SD, 3.5 and the 4.3 although I believe the cams and backplates were also used on the Sp 20SB. Many thanks for any help. Unfortunately cannot help with any parts, but am curious to know if not cable, what system does your SP25 currently have? Posted by johnlayzell 24/06/2018 22:48:46

Hi John, It's a hydraulic system currently, probably converted a long time ago. I understand that it was a popular thing to do in the 50s/60s, when hydraulics were then the norm. It's a bit "Heath Robinson" in places and doesn't allow the original servo to operate. Regards, Cliff Posted by cjt 27/06/2018 20:54:25
