I need a rotor arm for my Speed 20 SA (SB engine) RT don't have any and I don't know where else to contact. Just FYI, there is a good spark from the coil lead but no sign of starting. Distributor Cap seems fine but I would like a spare anyway. My first post on ANY Bulletin Board, so hope I haven't broken any rules! Posted by Ashcote 11/04/2013 22:46:37

You should be able to get a Rotor Arm from Independent Ignition Supplies Bideford Devon EX39 9AE 01237 475986 http://www.magneto.co.uk Or Donald Day Swindon 01793 812323 With reference to your present rotor you should examine this for signs of tracking. If you can see tracking marks then cover these areas with a of coat nail varnish or similar and then see if your problem is solved. Posted by Mike Wheadon 12/04/2013 14:53:33

Thanks for the suggestions Mike, a message on the Independent Ignition Supplies website has the following message - [color=#4040FF:1km9pn31]Independent Ignition Supplies was started by Mike Green in 1988 after his retirement from the regular army. Mike is now in his 70's and feels that after 25 years in the magneto business it is time to retire again, this time to become a hobby engineer and gardener. Our thanks to all customers past and present for your support. Future enquires for rewinding and repairs should be made to http://www.ribblesdale.co.uk and for manufactured spare parts to http://www.magneto-ignition.co.uk.[/color:1km9pn31] I'll follow through during the week and let you know how I get on, there were no signs of tracking, but thanks for the remedy, things like that always come in useful at some time .
