I want to check / replace speedo cable but access is difficult. If via the dash working forwards, it looks like I need to also remove Motorola radio and lift out centre console (3 self tappers each side through the inner plate). I can then replace radio illumination bulb too)? I can get the radio loose and can pull forward the retaining steel plate only slightly so to access the speedo rear. The steel panel then binds along the bottom edge. Whilst it looks as though it wants to come, I fear using force or unnecessary removal of linkages to gearbox etc. (AUTO BOX) in case of damage or loosing adjustments etc. Will this panel just pull-out with speedo head or do I approach from under the dash?
