South West Section Picnic - 21st May 2023

South West Section Picnic at Kingsbridge, Devon

A most enjoyable day was had this weekend at the home of South West committee member, Peter Robson, at his farm which is located in a most beautiful spot on the outskirts of Kingsbridge, Devon. It was simply a case of parking up the Alvis or alternative in the farmyard then unpacking the picnic chairs and settling down to enjoy the surrounding magnificent countryside views.  After enjoying our picnics in lovely warm sunshine a number of us were taken on a guided walking tour by our host through nearby woods to appreciate some beautiful flora and fauna, particularly stunning being the masses of blue bells. Once back at the farm Peter was surprised by a presentation of two huge gateaux’s as a thank you for his kind hospitality. Needless to say they were both immediately sliced up and consumed by us all prior to departure for home.
