Remembering Maurice Harvey Event
The TA14 special of Rob Moor, the TA14 of Martin Wickham and the TE21 of Tudor Francis.
12th Ocotober was the annual Remembering Maurice Harvey event at St. Keverne on the Lizard.
For many years the final testing place of Maurice Harvey remained a mystery After a convoluted search involving Bristol and Torquay, Doug Pound eventually established that Major Harvey had been buried at St. Keverne church and with invaluable help from David Steele the church warden the grave was located. This was in 1997. In 1998 a Maurice Harvey Weekend was organised by Tony Phillips-Smith and Barbara Stevens. This year we had an excellent turn-out and after paying our respects at the graveside we had lunch in Tge White Hart, followed by a drive to Porthoustock and then to Rosskilly’s for a hot drink.
At Porthoustock Beach.
