Picnic in the barn!!

Keen South West member John Wakeham, doesn’t allow a lousy weather forecast to dampen his enthusiasm and willingness to provide a Cornish picnic which he intended to hold it in his beautiful garden on Saturday 30th August.

He had a brilliant fall back plan and on arrival at his home at Tredivet near Launceston all attendees, once parked up, were guided to the first floor of one of his huge barns which had been fitted out with a kitchen corner providing tea & coffee as required with the remainder providing a wonderful eclectic range of seating arrangements.

Picnics were soon opened and enjoyed in a wonderful albeit enclosed atmosphere where a changing of seating was encouraged to ensure that everyone felt included – it was possible significant that there was certainly no rush to leave what turned out to be an excellent and memorable event.
