The November NEC Classic Car Show represents the major multimarque gathering of the classic car world. It is the Alvis shop window to enthusiasts from around the world.
This year saw a magnificent display of a 1931 12/60 Carbodies Beetleback, Ann Bradnum’s very special 1936 Gurney Nutting two door pillarless coupe, a 1949 TA14 Mulliner saloon, a TC100 Tickford DHC and a 1957 Willowbrook TC108G.
Very many congratulations to Ann Bradnum and her superb 1936 Gurney Nutting two door pillarless coupe which won the Classic Sportscar magazine Car of the Show. An award richly deserved.
The TA14 was presented, as part of the National Classic Car Loan Project, to Josh Bennett on Sunday morning. Thanks are due to Jack Meredith and Peter Milne for their exceptional generosity in making the car available. Many members visited the stand and a number of new members were recruited. Thanks to Steve Horne and Dave Dobson for the enormous amount of hard work they put into the organisation of the stand and to the members who manned the stand over three days. The show next year is 13-15 November 2020.
