Drive it Day from the Howard Arms Wilmington
Mike and Lucy Davies had planned ,meticulously mapped tested and left nothing to chance from which the members benefited greatly but they themselves became bystanders. They got caught by a delay in chroming a bumper on their TA14 and joined the writer who was just coming to the end of a predicted wait for the return of his car.
However, we had an attractively balanced entry, great sunshine and cheery company.
The Connells and the Hunts brought matching Grey Lady dropheads the former fitted with a very discreetly placed reversing camera.
The Cooks brought their very attractive Meadows 4 1/2 litre Lagonda in lonely splendour.
The McGarel Groves where in their speed 25 saloon and Hartleys in the speed 25 drophead.
Off they went after coffee on the 40 mile Cotswold cruise returning in due course with enjoyable tales of map misreads and sightings of each other in odd directions, to settle down to lunch.
A good day for all.
