On Wednesday 23rd June the East Anglian Section held what should have been their first post lockdown event, a picnic at Knettishall Heath Nature Reserve organised by Brian Aket. Despite the Covid restrictions the event took place as it was outdoors and could easily be limited to 30 people.
Knettishall Heath is one of the Suffolk Wildlife managed Nature Reserves and is one of the UK’s biodiversity hotspots and a Site of Special Scientific Interest.
Some eight members turned up on what was a day of fantastic weather and enjoyed pre-lunch walks in the reserve. Despite the low numbers those attending had a thoroughly enjoyable time with various discussion topics over lunch not always focussed on Alvis cars.
