East Anglia Section Get Together - 27th August 2021
David’s two TF 21s head the line up of Alvis Cars.
With the rain just holding off for a change we were able to gather at the Little’s by kind invitation of David and Sue at their home which is an old railway terminus at Midenhall. They still have the ticket office and the platform and parcels platform. David has had the Parcel Sorting building reconstructed to original plans and now uses this as his three car garage. The courtyard in front making an ideal area to hold the barbecue.
The cars were parked on the lawn below the platform for everyone to admire from a distance, but this didn’t stop the more enthusiastic members gathering for discussions and closer inspections. The prewar cars dominated by a 14/75 and a Silver Eagle. It was also nice to see some new members and a new TA21 to the section.
The food was good and ably cooked to perfection, with a surfeit of corn on the cob, which were very tasty.
Our thanks once again to David and Sue for providing the superb facilities.
PS Sue was proud to show off her new greenhouse and garden shed. Not so much a shed but a solid brick structure built in the style of the adjacent railway buildings.
