East Anglia AGM and Drive it Day
The East Anglia Section of the Alvis Owner Club met today for their AGM and Drive it Day lunch at The Hare in the historic village of Long Melford in Suffolk. The significance of the The Hare was not lost on the landlord as he spotted The Hare mascot on David’s lovely 12/60 named “Lady Grey”.
Due to the superb weather there was a good turnout of some 30 members and 10 Alvis cars ranging in age from 1931 to the late 60s.
There was a convivial atmosphere in the function room whilst we enjoyed coffee and biscuits before the AGM began followed by
an excellent Sunday roast in the pub itself.
The meeting went well with good humoured and constructive debate and it was agreed that, as the committee has done such an excellent job over the past 12 months, we would re-elect them all.
A warm welcome to our new members and it was lovely to see new friendships being forged”.
