Beware the Scammers

A scammer is persistently listing a TC21 drophead on ebay using hacked accounts and a picture of the car which was downloaded from the original listing that the car was sold on. A picture on the listing invites the prospective bidder to contact the seller via a Hotmail address rather than communicating through ebay.

I write this in the hope that no club member is in danger of being conned by this, as it has been listed several times so I can only assume some are being taken in by this.

As for the car, it was bought by a dealer and taken from Thurso in the far north of Scotland to Essex where it was listed on ebay.In 2018 it was purchased and then collected by us and trailered back to Loch Ness, less than 100 miles from where it started it’s journey in 2018. Since then it has been awaiting our full attention, which has not been helped by the pandemic, and will emerge restored at some point in the future. It is not currently for sale.
